Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of AmericaNational Veterans Group4 September 2006 -- To all you vets of OEF and OIF, as you may know there's a nation wide group that's been formed for these veterans and that also speaks on issues pertaining to them.
I've attached their flyers, which explain the group better than I can. Also you can look at their website: http://www.iava.org/index.php
They're on a recruiting drive at this moment, and all that means is that their looking for OEF/OIF vets to sign up to bolster their numbers. You'll also receive informational e-mails from them about veteran’s issues from time to time.
And as part of their recruiting drive, they are offering a dollar a name for every vet that's signed up (which is why I'm writing this e-mail). You could of course sign up on on-line, but if you want to help a brother out, you could send me your full name, zip code and the theater or theaters of operations that you served in and I will send that, along with your e-mail address to IAVA.
Then you'll be signed up with largest group nationwide for vets of the 21st century’s wars and I will hopefully have enough extra money to buy a new pair of shoes.
